1. Who we are
Whiral is a curated index for creators — publishing competitions, jobs, events and Mike profiles. This page is maintained by the Whiral team to answer common privacy questions about the site.
2. Information we collect
Basic analytics (page views, device type, coarse location), anything you voluntarily send via the contact form or email, and profile info you submit for a Mike listing.
3. How we use it
To publish what you asked us to publish, reply to your emails, understand what's popular, and improve the site. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies and local storage keys (e.g. your theme preference). Third-party embeds like video players may set their own cookies.
5. Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us run the site (hosting, analytics, email), and when required by law. Mike profiles you submit are, by nature, public once published.
6. Your choices
You can ask us to update or remove any content you submitted, request a copy of your data, or unsubscribe from any email you're on — just email hello@whiral.com.
7. Retention
We keep submitted content for as long as it's live on the site plus a short archival period. Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete sooner.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards. No system is perfectly secure — please don't send sensitive personal data through the contact form.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as Whiral grows. Material changes will be flagged on this page with a new effective date.
